EcoAdventure Ireland and An Óige have come together to provide both residential and non residential River & Ecology Field Study Programmes, School Tours,Multi Activity adventure days and Outdoor Education programmes. Activities are available at our Knockree Hostel, Co Wicklow, Killarney International Hostel, Co Kerry, Errigal Hostel, Co Donegal and Dublin International Hostel, Dublin.

Outdoor Education Centre Wicklow
Our new Knockree Hostel is situated on a 55 acre site in a glaciated valley in Glencree near the village of Enniskerry Co. Wicklow. This location along with the €4m revamp the hostel was given in 2008 makes it the perfect location to bring your group for a day of outdoor education and fun.
With a wide range of programmes available we are uniquely placed to cater for all requirements in tailoring a package to suit your group. Ecology Field Study days, Geography River Study programmes, pony trekking, mountain biking, archery and team building tasks in Co Wicklow are all just a few examples of what you can expect to avail of at EcoAdventure Ireland.
EcoAdventure Ireland offers these programmes as either residential or non residential. If your group chooses a residential package they will be staying in our 5 star Knockree Hostel. This hostel provides quality accommodation with a capacity for 80 people in a range of twin, triple, 4, 5 & 6 bedded rooms. All bedrooms are accessed by electronic keycards with 24 hour access to the building also through keycard. CCTV operates 24 hours a day throughout the premises.
A packed lunch and dinner will be provided to those groups booked on a residential package. Day programmes may also include a packed lunch. Other facilities in the hostel include a meeting room, dining room, TV room, pool table, luggage storage facilities, drying room and free guest parking. Our Killarney International Hostel is a former 18th century mansion and is set on 75 acres of forests and gardens located 5km outside of Killarney town centre. Commanding spectacular views over the mountains and lakes of Killarney the hostel is fully equipped with modern facilities whilst maintaining the charm and character of an historic building in peaceful surroundings.
We provide quality budget accommodation with a capacity for over 150 people in a range of twin, 4 bed private, 6 and 8 bedded dorms. We have two buildings, the main house and our ‘Lodge’. Our 40 bed Lodge is self contained and ideal for groups.
All bedrooms are accessed by electronic keycards with 24 hour access to the building also by keycard.
Teachers/leaders will be accommodated in private rooms where available and have access to our library and TV room throughout the day.
Hot and cold lunch, dinner and breakfast can be provided to those groups who are booked on our residential packages. Day programmes can also include a hot or cold sit down lunch. Please ensure to provide all details of any food/ special dietary requirements in advance and we will endeavour to help as best we can.
The Dublin International Hostel is located in the heart of Dublin City Centre, just minutes away from
O’Connell St. The hostel has 275 beds, all in a range of twin, triple, 4 bed private, and dormitory rooms all containing wooden floors.
Dublin International has recently been awarded the HI-Quality Certification and we are the only Hostel in Dublin to have been accredited with this prestigious cert. Hi-Q is a Quality Assurance standard that focuses on (management) procedures & processes, leading to a consistently Quality Customer Experience.
The Hostel provides conference/meeting facilities as well a private teachers meeting room. A full meal service is available including hot and cold lunches, dinner and breakfast all of which are served in our purpose ‘Church’ restaurant. We also have a separate fully equipped self catering kitchen and dining room which caters for up to 60 people. Our Dublin International Hostel is conveniently located within walking distance of some of the most popular tourist attractions including
Croke
Park and
Trinity
College.
Our ‘Church’ Restaurant caters for breakfast, lunch, dinner, packed breakfasts and packed lunches for all groups. Hot and Cold Lunch can be provided depending on your days activities ahead.
Adventures Activities at Errigal Hostel

Errigal Hostel is situated in a stunning corner of Ireland in County Donegal. It is a purpose built, 60 bed, state of the art Hostel. It features a range of Twin ensuite, 4 bed and 6 bed rooms some bedrooms built in a mezzanine fashion ideal for groups or families. All rooms have a breat-taking views (overlooking the Poison Glen and Errigal Mountain).
All bedrooms are accessed by electronic keycards with 24 hour access to the building also by keycard.
Teachers/leaders will be accommodated in private rooms where available and have access to our cosy room and TV room throughout the day.
