Gaisce Programmes and Activities in Killarney, Wicklow & Donegal
An Oige's three hostels, Killarney International Hostel, Knockree Hostel & the Errigal Hostel are Gaisce Approved Centres. EcoAdventure Ireland together with An Óige provide several packages to assist Gaisce participants prepare for various challenges. These include:
2 Day Adventure Journeys:
Hill Walking – Knockree, Killarney & Errigal are ideally situated to prepare for your hike. Experienced Leaders will give instruction on basic map reading, emergency planning and equipment requirements in addition to practical training leading walks along sections of the Wicklow Way.
Cycling – With a wide range of looped routes of varying distance starting from Knockree, Killarney and Errigal we provide Training Programmes to help you prepare for your challenge. Training can also be provided in basic bicycle maintenance.
Explorations Journeys:
We will train your group to plan and carry out a two day exploration either walking or cycling to include a Geographical Study or Historical Study.
With use of Knockree, Killarney and Errigal's self catering kitchen, participants will have the opportunity to practice their independence skills.
