Bus Éireann bus 32 or 32X leaves from Busáras or Dublin Airport’s Zone 12, stop 8, several times a day to Letterkenny.

Route 32 is the busiest in the country and often fills up, so you should make an advance reservation or you may not get a seat.

Please note: Do not take the bus to “Donegal”, bus 30, from Dublin. This goes to Donegal Town, which is two hours south, and not Letterkenny.

There is a Local Link bus service from Letterkenny straight to Errigal Hostel in Dún Lúiche (Dunlewey), at Roarty’s Service Station. Route 971 leaves several times a day and schedules can be found below. The Letterkenny stop is across the street from the Bus Éireann station.

You can get off at Letterkenny and take the Local Link, or continue to Gortahork, the nearest town. You would need to get a taxi from there to Errigal Hostel.

Flight from Dublin Airport to Donegal Airport

Aer Lingus operates a 45-minute flight from Dublin Airport to Donegal Airport.

From Donegal Carrickfinn Airport, you would need to check the Local Link or arrange a taxi to the hostel, which is a 20-minute drive.

It is not always easy to find a taxi to Dunlewey from the airport or Gortahork, so you would need to pre-book.
